If you wife will let you have the guys over, make sure that you acknowledge her sacrifice.
My wife is working on her masters degree but she has granted me permission to have the guys over to watch football whenever the Bears are on national tv. She cheerfully agreed to lock herself in the bedroom to do homework so that the guys and I can enjoy the game without worrying about her studying. So make sure that you not only acknowledge her sacrifice to her, but to your friends as well.
