Happiness is narrowing a decision to a few options that you can live with and then letting your wife make the final decision.
When we were looking for a new computer for my wife I knew that I would have to live with her choice for a long time. So I went to work doing my homework on a bunch of different brands and models and when I was finished I have about a half dozen laptops that I was satified with.
My wife and I looked at the laptops and even though she did not pick my favorite, I was pleased that she got one that I could live with. The bonus was that she was pleased that she got to make the decision.
